Winter Park Resort To Open For Summer Season, June 11

Colorado's Winter Park Resort and Trestle Bike Park are gearing up to open over the next 2 weeks. The trail crews are still removing snow from the bike park and are set to open the lower section on June 18th. and hope to have the upper sections open by the July 4th weekend. Winter Park, COLO., (June 07, 2011) – Summer season at Winter Park Resort will officially open on June 11, 2011. All family base area activities will open, as scheduled, on Saturday at 10:00am. The Epic Singletrack Series will move forward with the first of seven races on June 11. However, due to significant snowpack, Trestle Bike Park opening will be postponed one week and will open on June 18.

Life returns to the resort and Village at Winter Park after two months of preparation for summer with 11 restaurants and 10 shops opening for the season. Family resort activities opening on June 11 include Colorado’s longest Alpine Slide, Mountainside Mini Golf, Amaze’n Human Maze, Leaps & Bounds Bungee, GyroEXTREME, Outdoor Climbing Wall, Kids’ Mini T-Bar Zip Line, Bouncy Snowcat and the Mary Jane Mine Company Mineral Panning.

The Trestle Bike Park Crew and Trestle Bike Patrol have been working diligently to clear snow from the bike trails and other areas of the mountain. Mother Nature has also helped the snowmelt in the past week with temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s. With continued warm weather and a tireless crew, Trestle will open below Five-Points on Saturday, June 18, 2011.

June 11– Sept. 5, 2011, plus weekends through Sept. 25
Trestle Bike Park Open Daily:
June 18 — Sept. 25, 2011

HOURS OF OPERATION
Base Area Activities:
10:00am — 5:30pm
Trestle Bike Park:
9:30am — 5:00pm, extended hours on Wednesdays and Fridays, July 1 — Sept. 2
Zephyr Express Chairlift:
9:30am — 5pm, daily from June 11 — Sept. 5
11am — 5pm, daily in Sept.
Open late, until 7pm, on Wednesdays and Fridays from July 1 — Sept. 2
Eskimo Express Chairlift:
9:30am — 5pm, Friday — Sunday, July 1 — Sept. 5, including the Fourth of July and Labor Day
10am — 5pm, Saturday and Sunday only in Sept.
Gemini Express:
9:30am — 5pm, Saturday — Sunday, July 2 — Sept. 5, including the Fourth of July and Labor Day

SUMMER PRICING FOR FAMILY RESORT ACTIVITIES:
Adventure Pass:
$44 Adult/Child Half Day, $14 Five & Under (10:00am – 2:00pm OR 1:30pm – 5:30pm)
$49 Adult/Child Full Day, $14 Five & Under (10:00am – 5:30pm)
Adventure Season Pass:
$219 Adult, 13+ Years, $99 12 & Under (Unlimited Summer Season Access)
Individual Tickets:
$5 – $15, Depending on Activity
