A big thanks to all those who made it out to Globe this past weekend to work and ride Six Shooter! The upper crew was able to get several new "features" built and the lower crew was able to clean up the trail, secure the creek crossings and added a few new "features" themselves. A huge thanks to Dave and Micheal for organizing the weekend and for those of you who missed out, I suggest getting up there and riding a great stretch of trail before the summer is here full blast.

Melissa Buhl, the Valley's very own woman's pro downhiller has captured the top podium spot at this years Sea Otter Classic in Monterey California.

"The KHS rider, who is studying undergraduate kinesiology and pre-med at Arizona State University, was excited about her first-ever Sea Otter downhill win. "I work hard for Sea Otter every year. It's been a goal of mine and last year, I finished third. I think having good fitness helped." Buhl said she bobbled just once early in her run, which cost her some time as she lost speed while in a high gear. "But I think that was probably a good thing as it motivated me for the rest of the run."

Traction Mag has some insight into the newly unvieled 2009 Shimano Saint group. Looks like the biggest change is the rear derailleur reverting back to the standard mounting options as opposed to the axle mount.

Dirt Mag has gotten its hands on the revolutionary Empire AP1, the first ever fully cast aluminum DH bike. What does a cast frame hold over a traditional tube frame? No welds. Empire is set to start extensively testing the AP1 in the near future so keep your eyes out for these going into production at some point.

Moab Road Trip - April 2008 on Vimeo.
Over the past weekend, several PHX riders headed up to Moab UT for a little R & R (Riding and relaxation). Except for a few bump's in the road and a trip to the ER, everything came together pretty well.

Once we compile all the photo's from the participant's I will be adding a full gallery of the trip, but in the meantime here is a little highlight video.
